Bose CD Player won't load
« on: November 23, 2016, 03:18:54 pm »
I have a 2004 Avalanche. The other I went out and tried to to put a CD in the player, it wouldn't go in. I pushed eject and it said there was no cd's which I knew. I pushed load and the green light didn't come on. The only thing I see is a cd symbol flashing in the display area. Tried everything and still can't insert a cd. What do I have to do? Thanks

I'm guessing but given that you are working with a 12-13 year old mechanism I'd say there's a mechanical issue of some sort.  You may want to try pulling the unit out and opening it up to see if there's anything you can possibly fix, but you may be out of luck short of getting a replacement at a junk yard or ebay.

18x10 Forged Weld Wheels, ATK 460 HP 6.0, JBA shorties, custom catback with FM50, Crane plug wires, 3200 stall Circle D Torque Converter, efans, HP Tuners custom tune, need to install Vortech supercharger onto this crate engine.......

The thing is, i just went out one morning to start truck and the player made some noise like it was ejecting a cd. I wasn't using it or anything. That's what I don't understand, how could it just break without being used.

Mien did the same thing. I've looked at replacing. The prices I see on the web are too much for me to spend on an OEM radio. I'm more inclined to get an aftermarket Kenwood or Pioneer.  Just my $.02
